We will be an approved provider through the FTC-PEP Program.
Students who receive this scholarship are not enrolled with the county as home education students, and will be registered as PEP students with Step up for Students, which includes having a plan for the year, and completing standardized testing at the end of the year for Grades Kâ8.
Students pay tuition on the first of each month, and then are reimbursed by Step Up after submitting an invoice provided by Oakridge Academy.
PEP Scholarships are projected to be approximately $7,800 per student, per year.

Our program is student-led, supported by parental guidance and educational experts, and utilizes software from Prenda.com. Home Education students in grades 3-8 will take the IOWA Standardized Test each fall and spring. We do not teach to the test; however, our Math and English online programs are aligned with Florida standards and are regularly monitored.
-
We do not assign homework, enabling students to use their time at home for recreational activities, sports, music, arts, and quality moments with friends and family. We encourage students to read books of their choice and discuss their interests and the stories they explore.
-
We encourage parent involvement in various aspects of their child's education. We will seek weekly volunteers for classroom support, talent showcases where parents can share their skills, and help with fundraising events throughout the year.
We look forward to hosting community exhibitions where students can display their work.
Additionally, we aim to hold parent meetings at least three times a year to foster community spirit and exchange insights on parenting and personal development.
